Hip’s League Academy marks a new step in the evolution of Tahitian dance

Created by professionals from the entertainment, competition, and film industries, the Academy provides dancers with access to high-level artistic training designed for today’s stage, competitions, and camera.

More than a simple online course platform, Hip’s League Academy is designed as a professional development space where dancers, teachers, and troupes can refine their technique, elevate their artistry, and prepare for the highest level of performance.

The Academy is built around a method specifically developed for Tahitian dance practitioners by Ken Carlter, awarded Tahitian artist, internationally recognized performer, and one of the most visionary ambassadors of Polynesian culture.

Created by recognized professionals from the entertainment industry, this unique approach combines artistic direction, performance training, and competition standards, making Hip’s League Academy the only platform offering this methodology today.

Designed to complement traditional dance training, the Academy supports dancers, teachers, and troupes by providing additional tools to develop stage presence, artistic identity, and professional performance skills.

Through exclusive masterclasses led by Awarded Director Ken Carlter, Hip’s League champions, and experienced judges, members gain insight into the standards, expectations, and artistic vision that define modern Tahitian dance competitions.

One of the core features of the Academy is the Monthly Performance Review.
Each month, members can submit their dance performance and receive professional feedback from Ken Carlter, focusing not only on technique, but also on artistry, stage presence, and overall performance quality.

This unique system allows dancers to progress faster, correct subtle details, and approach the stage with greater confidence and professionalism.

Whether you train for the stage, for competitions, or for professional opportunities in the entertainment world, Hip’s League Academy is designed to support your journey and help you reach the next level.

Train. Improve. Perform.
Create your destiny.

Why was Hip’s League Academy created?

Hip’s League Academy was created after more than a decade of organizing some of the most important Tahitian dance competitions and working closely with dancers, troupes, and choreographers from around the world.

Through hundreds of performances and many hours of stage and video productions, we were able to observe what dancers do exceptionally well — but also identify areas where additional guidance could make a real difference.

Coming from the world of entertainment, stage production, and international media, we often see the gap between traditional dance training and the standards expected on professional stages and filmed performances.

Hip’s League Academy was created to help address this gap by sharing practical insights that dancers rarely receive, particularly in areas such as performance direction, stage presence, and understanding how movement translates on camera.

At the same time, the Academy was designed with another important goal: to make Tahitian dance more accessible and help more people around the world discover and practice this art.

Why choose Hip’s League Academy over other platforms?

Hip’s League Academy offers a premium learning experience created by recognized pioneers and leaders in their fields, professionals who have proven their success in the worlds of entertainment, competition, and cultural promotion.

By joining the Academy, you are not only accessing training content — you are joining a vision and a set of values dedicated to the long-term development of Tahitian dance and its artists.

The Academy is built around a unique methodology created by industry professionals, combining competition standards, artistic performance training, and experience from international stages and television productions.

Finally, Hip’s League Academy provides these high-level resources at one of the most accessible prices on the market, making professional guidance available to a wider community of dancers.

Choosing Hip’s League Academy means giving yourself the best tools to progress, succeed, and fully express your potential as a dancer.
